Susan Charkes Featured at the Moonstone Arts Center

Philadelphia’s Moonstone Arts Center describes poet Susan Charkes (TMR: Summer 2016) as “poet laureate of that tiny multiverse off to your left.” Charkes has worked on several books (two can be found here) centered around the Philadelphian and Pennsylvanian wilderness, and regularly contributes to her local literary scene.

Charkes will be a featured poet in the 2016 Featured Writer’s Anthology published by Moonstone Arts Center. On December 11th, there will be a launch party for the anthology, with featured readings from Charkes and other contributing poets. The event will be hosted at Fergie’s Pub and starts at 2 p.m. If you’re local and interested in hearing Charkes and other poets read, find the directions here.

| Keep an eye on Moonstone’s store page, where you’ll be able to buy the 2016 Featured Writer’s Anthology once it becomes available.

| Susan Charkes can be found at her website, where you can keep up with her future readings and publications.

| Read Susan’s Best of the Net-nominated poem, “The Out Years,” in our Summer 2016 publication.
