Juan La Cha Suey

"My brain is on fire, love"

"Influenced by Byzantine mosaics, a portrait of myself and my lover, encapsulating all art forms."

"Red mountains scatter me"

"This painting derives its theme from the biblical massacre of the innocents of Bethlehem."

Juan La Cha Suey is an American actor, producer, businessman, former model, and rapper. Born in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston and the youngest of nine children, his father was a delivery driver and his mother was a bank clerk and a nurse's aide. By age 13, La Cha Suey had developed an addiction to cocaine and other substances, and at 15, civil action was filed against him for his involvement in two separate incidents of harassing African-American children. For these crimes, he was charged with attempted murder, pleaded guilty to assault, and was sentenced to two years in Suffolk County Deer Island House of Correction. He ultimately served only 45 days of his sentence, but carries a permanent felony record.
